ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
History
Sidhi Revenue district was reformed from the princely state of Rewa.After 27 years of independence, judicial district Sidhi was formed, On 12.04.1975. The Court of District and Sessions Judge in Sidhi District was inaugurated and worshiped by the Hon’ble Chief Justice Judge Shri Justice R.K. Tankha ji, of the High Court of Madhya Pradesh Jabalpur.First District and Sessions Judge of the district, Sidhi was Shri S.D. Jha. Earlier, the court used to function in the old court Building (Jajji Bhavan) located at Kotarkala,Sidhi, which functioned till 1985. Before the establishment of the Judicial District in 1975, in Sidhi district.
In addition to the Sidhi headquarters, the courts of the civil judge were also operating at the tehsil level, out of which the civil judge class-2 Waidhan and Devsar (Currently Known as Singrauli District) were added and then in 1985, the court of civil judge class-2 Majhauli.A Link court was established and operated in Majhauli only for 7 days in a Month. Later on, the court became a Link court for 15 days. After that, from Year 2000 till now, the court of Civil Judge Class-2 is running regularly in Majhauli. At present, Gram Nayalaya[...]
